KANSAS CITY, Kan. — It was probably one of the most spectacular finishes in NASCAR history.

Carl Edwards made a suicide run into the third turn underneath race leader Jimmie Johnson. He was determined to win.

Unfortunately, Edwards ran out of track before running into the wall, struggled to maintain control and watched Johnson go back by him for the victory at Kansas Speedway.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – One word defines the two-race-old 2008 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup: unpredictable.
Two drivers in particular personify that word: Greg Biffle and Kyle Busch.
Biffle became the first driver to begin the Chase with two consecutive wins. He’s now 10 points behind series leader and Roush Fenway Racing teammate Carl Edwards.

DOVER, Del. — Greg Biffle is up on the wheel. For the second consecutive week, Biffle outraced the field down the stretch and won the Camping World RV 400 Presented by AAA at Dover International Speedway.

Biffle, who ran with the leaders most of the day, turned up the adrenaline with 24 laps to go and dogged teammate Matt Kenseth for 15 laps before finally passing Kenseth with a eight laps remaining.

LAS VEGAS (Sept. 20, 2008) — Mike Skinner outdueled Erik Darnell on a green-white-checkered finish to win Saturday night’s Qwik Liner Las Vegas 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Running second, Skinner’s Bill Davis Racing Toyota bumped Darnell’s Roush Fenway Racing Ford on the final restart and went to the outside in Turn 1. Skinner cleared Darnell entering Turn 3 and took the lead for the 147th lap, one over the scheduled distance on the 1.5-mile track.

Season Finale Crowns 2008 Grand-Am Class Champions

TOOELE, Utah (Sept. 20, 2008) - Raphael Matos bookended the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season. After winning the GT class in the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona back in January, Matos made his return to the series by winning in his first Daytona Prototype start.

Matos joined regular drivers Ian James and John Pew to give the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley its first Rolex Series victory in the SunRichGourmet.com 1000 presented by The Grand and Little America Hotels. The team became the third first-time Daytona Prototype winner in three races at Miller Motorsports Park.

DOVER, Del. (September 20, 2008) — With a committee of crew chiefs — and in the face of some wishful thinking on the part of Mike Bliss — Kyle Busch won Saturday’s Camping World RV Sales 200 Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway in dominating fashion.

Busch led 157 of 207 laps in a race that ended with a green-white-checkered-flag finish after Landon Cassill and Steven Wallace collided on Lap 199 to bring out the seventh and final caution and send the event seven laps beyond its scheduled distance.

TOOELE, Utah (Sept. 19, 2008) - Ricardo Zonta saved his best for last Friday at Miller Motorsports Park, running a lap of 2:35.664 (103.747 mph) to capture the pole for Saturday’s SunRichGourmet.com 1000 presented by The Grand and Little America Hotels, the final event of the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.

It was the first career pole for Zonta, a former Formula One regular, and also the first time the Lola chassis captured a pole in Daytona Prototype competition. Zonta will co-drive the No. 76 Krohn Racing Pontiac Lola with Nic Jonsson in search of his first career Rolex Series victory.
