By Bram • Jun 13th, 2009 • Category: News, Notes, Other Racing NewsBenoit has been taken to the Medical Centre.
He has been driven to the medical centre. The Clerk of the Course ,Daniel Poissenot goes to the Pescarolo garage to reassure Henri Pescarolo and all his team.
At 4:46, the Safety Car situation was lifted, and the 47 competitors which are left are back to racing. The Safety Car was out for 42 minutes, time for Benoît Tréluyer to be taken removed from the car and taken to the Medical Centre. He was running 4th overall in the #17 Pescarolo Peugeot, 4 laps off the leader.
Treluyer is awake and alert in the Medical Centre, he will be held for observation as initial reports say he was unconcious in the car and has suffered a possible cuncussion.

Does anyone know why the Pesca Pug crashed? He had just come out of the pits on fresh tires!
Treluyer had just come from the box also with new nose cone and engine cover, no word as to the cause. Immediately following this incident, another safety car period for oiling on the track. There were some questions about the car having some balance issues (porpoise-ing) and the floor of the car involved, and there’s more power being carried into and through the esses, but it’s a matter of specualtion at this point.
