No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Silverado
NASCAR Truck Series Race 12 of 25
Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park
The O’Reilly 200 at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park could be a good opportunity for Ron Hornaday and the Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Silverado team to make up points and gain positions in a bid for their second consecutive championship as the NASCAR Truck Series closes in on the half-way point of the season. In five previous starts at Memphis, Hornaday has recorded three top-five and four top-10 finishes with one win (1998). He started second and finished third in last year’s race at Memphis.
Leader In More Ways Than One:
Ron Hornaday leads the NASCAR Truck Series in 2008 in number of laps led with 422, and he also leads the series in four other categories: driver rating (110.7), average starting position (4.4), average running position (8.3) and percentage of laps led (23.3).
From The Driver’s Seat – Quotes From Ron Hornaday:
On racing at Memphis: “Memphis has been a good track for me over the years. I won there in 1998 and I’ve had some good runs there since then. It’s a flat, smooth track that has very little banking in the corners. Last year, we started second and led some laps and we ended up finishing third. This will be a good opportunity for us to gain some points back that we’ve lost this year. There is a lot of racing left this season so we just need to take one race at a time and keep doing what we’ve been doing all year and try to win another championship for everybody at KHI, Camping World and everybody that supports this race team.”
Atop The Pit Box – Quotes From Rick Ren:
On racing at Memphis: “Memphis can be a challenge because you never know what the track is going to do. It’s usually very hot when we go to Memphis, so track temperature plays a big part in adjustments you make to the truck. We started second last year and I made some adjustments that I shouldn’t have made, so then we had to go back get the truck driving right and we finished third. I think we learned a lot about our short-track program after last year’s race at Memphis and we’ll be looking for another strong run again this year.”
Previous race recap:

(KHI) No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Silverado team came back from being one lap down early in the race to finish seventh in the Camping World RV Sales 200 at The Milwaukee Mile on Friday night, June 20. The seventh-place finish was the seventh of the 2008 NASCAR Truck Series season for Hornaday.
