Colt James eyes a victory at the Berlin (MI) Raceway

Buda, Texas : Colt James took advantage of the break in the schedule to get ready for the 1st annual Tradition 200 at Berlin Raceway this weekend. This tight bullring located near Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan will be a great track for Colt’s aggressive driving style.

“This is a driver’s track so I am looking forward to getting to Berlin this weekend,” said the energetic Colt James. His small family owned team has made quite an impression this season in the ASA Late Model Series Challenge division going up against teams that are much better funded than his.

“The ASALMS rules package let’s guys like myself compete,” said James. Colt already has one win this season and has been in the hunt for the win all but one week this season. Look for Colt’s No. 015 to post a great qualifying lap and race up front all night long!

Meet Colt James: Despite missing the first two races in the ASA Late Model Southern Division last season, this 23-year-old from Buda, Texas finished seventh in the point’s standings with one win in the Kenly 100 at Southern National Raceway Park.

Colt won the 2007 season opener in the Challenge Division at San Antonio. His family oriented race team is allowing Colt James to chase his racing dreams. Colt has his sights set on the Challenge Division championship this season! When he is not driving in races, Colt James is working on engines at the famed Roush-Yates Engine Department.

So far in 2007 Colt has one win at San Antonio Speedway, four top tens in five starts, and is sitting third in the Championship point’s race!
